Welcome to Karlov Manor, domain of the singular sorceress, Eliza Karlov. Nestled in the heart of The Azure Wood in southern Ahazura, the sprawling manse stands as both a haven and a foreboding warning to visitors.

The Sorceress Karlov has a long and storied history in the region. Though none might call her kind, she is a savior to the common folk of the region. Those desperate enough to brave the dark, deep woods surrounding her home may find their ails and troubles relieved by Karlov, provided they bring proper tribute and respect to her door.

But those looking to exploit the sorceress and her power will find little but despair waiting beyond her threshold. It is said that the thousands of candles that light her halls are rendered from the overfattened nobles who besmirch her name, and the creatures that scurry about her gardens are the men foolish enough to try for the bounties that are put on her head from time to time.

Throughout the centuries of her life, Eliza has collected an eclectic array of friends and foes alike, but it is the former she invites out on special occasions to join her in a party unlike any other: The Sorceress’ Ball. A few times a year, Karlov opens her doors and puts on a show of sorcery and seduction to any daring enough to attend. The locals claim the show is laced with restorative magics; fading loves are reignited, weary bones are reinvigorated, and old pains are lost in the haze of the performances.

Some even say that a few lucky guests will be granted a personal audience with the sorceress and perhaps even a wish…
